Ruminations about life and the world

Problems I want to solve

What problems do I care deeply about solving?

I’ve been asking myself this question a lot recently. I feel incredibly fortunate to have the opportunities, wealth, family, friends, and education throughout my life. I’ve come to a point where I have so much abundance in my life that I am ready to help give back and positively impact the world.

Problem areas that I’m excited about solving are:

  • Financial Inclusions – there are about 1.7 Billion people on the planet that do not have any access to financial service
  • Aligning incentives of existing services to help end-users effectively
    • Health care industry (Insurance, Pharmaceutical companies, and Medical services)
    • Financial Services (Banking, Loans, and Credit Score)
    • Student Loans and Education (Love the concept of Income shared agreements!)
  • Cybersecurity and Risk Management – Hackers and threats are getting smarter, while people are not taking appropriate measures for general digital hygiene
  • Fake news and disinformation – People are believing everything they want on the internet
  • Postural Health – we’re living in a world where people work at their desk and have a plethora of chronic issues such as rounded shoulders and lower back pain that will cause long term pain
  • Real Estate Financial Services – I think there’s going to be some real disruption on how people invest and transact real estate compared to the traditional methods with some technology

If I had it my way, I would tackle all these problems at once! There’s not enough time in the day!

It’s taken me a long time to come to these areas, but I know that I have to be involved in these areas in some form throughout my career!

There’s a story behind each of these areas and how it relates to my life personally, but that’s a whole another blog post! Stay tuned!
